Susannah Heschel is the Eli M. Black Distinguished Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College (USA). Her scholarship focuses on German Jewish intellectual history, with a particular focus on Jewish historiography, debates between Jews and Protestants over biblical scholarship, and Protestant antisemitism during the Third Reich. She has also written extensively on Jewish feminism and has a forthcoming book, written with Sarah Imhoff, Jewish Studies and the Woman Question.
